L’incontro finale del nostro progetto Erasmus plus intitolato “The City rings” si è tenuto a Waregem (Belgio), dal 12 al 19 marzo 2017.

Gli studenti e i docenti di tutti i paesi partner (Finlandia, Francia, Norvegia, Turchia e Italia) e le dirigenti scolastiche di Finlandia e Norvegia sono stati accolti dagli alunni, dai docenti e dal dirigente dello “Heilig-Hartcollege” di Waregem, ed anche dalle famiglie degli studenti. Tutti hanno collaborato per farci sentire a casa.

La delegazione italiana era costituita da sei studentesse del quarto anno del liceo linguistico (classi 4H e 4I) e da due docenti, la prof.ssa Assunta Sartori e la prof.ssa Anna Rita Margio.

Le attività organizzate dalla scuola belga sono state interessanti e motivanti, e hanno mirato non solo ad analizzare ulteriormente l’argomento principale del nostro progetto (i suoni e l’inquinamento acustico), ma anche a focalizzare l’attenzione degli alunni sulle attività che avevano già svolto, in modo da valutare i risultati del loro lavoro. Gli alunni hanno partecipato ai “workshop” coordinati dagli insegnanti belgi e dai membri di “Aifoon”, un’organizzazione locale che ha aiutato tutti noi ad attuare il progetto. Al termine della settimana, i risultati del lavoro di tutti sono stati presentati al pubblico.

Sia gli studenti sia i docenti hanno davvero gradito il tempo trascorso insieme e la condivisione delle loro esperienze.  Tutti hanno anche avuto la possibilità di gustare specialità e cibi tipici di ogni nazione partecipante, grazie al “Foodcourt”, durante il quale studenti, docenti e genitori hanno trascorso una deliziosa serata insieme, mangiando, bevendo e divertendosi.

Inoltre, abbiamo partecipato a due belle escursioni, a Bruges e a Gand, e abbiamo potuto ammirare i principali monumenti e palazzi storici di queste famose località.

Ecco le opinioni delle nostre studentesse:

Antonella Cieri (4H): “Il viaggio a Waregem è stato meraviglioso. Ho conosciuto persone speciali che hanno reso la mia esperienza indimenticabile. Ho anche appreso qualcosa riguardo agli usi ed ai costumi di un paese diverso, ed ho visitato bei posti. Inoltre, ho fatto progressi con l’ inglese, imparando molte parole nuove. E’ stato il migliore viaggio che abbia mai fatto.”

Naomi Mauriello (4H): “L’esperienza a Waregem è stata molto bella. I nostri ospiti sono unici e cordiali! Grazie a loro, mi sono sentita a casa. Mi è piaciuto, in particolare, l’ultimo giorno di scuola, perché abbiamo organizzato delle attività (giochi, video) molto interessanti; infatti, riguardavano l’inquinamento acustico e i suoi effetti nocivi alla salute. Durante la presentazione, il pubblico ha potuto vedere come avevamo lavorato, e le nostre attività sono piaciute molto.”

Arianna Minucci (4H): “E’ stata un’esperienza grandiosa. Ho avuto la possibilità di conoscere altre culture e di vedere posti meravigliosi come Gand o Bruges, dove non ero mai stata. Mi sono davvero sentita a casa, grazie all’ospitalità di tutti i ragazzi belgi e delle loro famiglie. Ho incontrato molte persone affabili e gentili, che spero di rivedere ancora.”

Alessia D’Onofrio (4I): “Penso che sia stata un’esperienza incredibile, che mi ha dato l’opportunità di conoscere una cultura diversa, di gustare nuovi cibi, di visitare due delle città più belle del Belgio e, soprattutto, di incontrare persone che non dimenticherò mai.”

Maria Pia Maiello (4I): “Mi è piaciuto molto! E’ buffo quante cose possano accadere in pochi giorni. Viaggiare ti offre l’occasione di imparare nuove cose e di aprire la mente. Non dimenticherò mai quella settimana.”

Marika Ruggiero (4I): “Per me, è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile, perché, grazie a questo progetto, ho avuto l’opportunità di conoscere nuove persone e di migliorare le mie abilità linguistiche. Inoltre, sono stata anche intervistata da una radio nazionale belga, e ho capito cosa significa essere famosi… per qualche giorno!”

The final meeting of our Erasmus plus project titled “The City rings” was held in Waregem (Belgium), from 12 March to 19 March 2017.

Students and teachers from all the partner countries (Finland, France, Norway, Turkey and Italy) and the headmistresses of Finland and Norway were welcomed by the students, teachers and headmaster of the “Heilig-Hartcollege” in Waregem, and by the students’ families, too. Everybody cooperated to make us feel at home.

The Italian delegation was made up of six students in their fourth year of “liceo linguistico” (two different classes, 4H and 4I) and of two teachers, Ms Assunta Sartori and Ms Anna Rita Margio.

The activities organized by the Belgian school were interesting and motivating, and aimed not only at further exploring the main topic of our project (sounds and noise pollution), but also at focusing the students’ attention on the tasks they had already completed, in order to evaluate the results of their work. The pupils participated in the workshops led by Belgian teachers or by the members of “Aifoon”, a local organization that helped all of us to carry out our project. At the end of the week, the results of everybody’s work were shown to the public.

Both students and teachers really enjoyed being together and sharing their experiences. Everybody also had the possibility of tasting some typical food and some specialities offered by each participating nation, thanks to the “Foodcourt”, during which students, teachers and parents spent a nice evening together, eating, drinking and having fun.

In addition to that, we all went on two nice excursions, to Bruges and Ghent, and we were able to admire the main historic buildings and monuments of these famous places.

Here are our students’ opinions:

Antonella Cieri (4H): “The trip to Waregem was wonderful. I met special people who made my experience unforgettable. I learned about the customs and habits of a different country, and I visited beautiful places. Then, I improved my English and I learnt lots of new words. This journey was the greatest I have ever had.”

Naomi Mauriello (4H): “The experience in Waregem was very nice. Our hosts are unique and friendly! They made me feel at home. I really liked the last school day, because we organized some activities (games, videos) which were very interesting; in fact, they were about noise pollution and its serious health effects on human beings. During the presentation, people could see how we had worked, and they really enjoyed our activities.”

Arianna Minucci (4H): “It was a great experience. I had the possibility of learning about other cultures and to see wonderful places like Ghent or Bruges, where I had never been before. I really felt like I was at home, thanks to the hospitality of all the Belgian boys and girls and their families. I met a lot of kind, lovely people, and I hope to see them again.”

Alessia D’Onofrio (4I): “I think it was an amazing experience, which gave me the opportunity to learn about a different culture, to taste new kinds of food, to visit two of the most beautiful cities in Belgium and, above all, to meet people I will never forget.”

Maria Pia Maiello (4I): “I loved it! It’ s funny how many things can happen in a few days. Travelling gives you the occasion for learning new things and opening your mind. I will never forget that week.”

Marika Ruggiero (4I): “I think it was an unforgettable experience, because, thanks to this project, I had the opportunity to meet new people and improve my language skills. Besides, I was also interviewed by a Belgian national radio station, and I realized what it is like to be famous… for a few days!”
